Jason Hoffman
Jason Hoffman is the President and Founder of Transafe, LLC. He has worked as a safety management consultant with motor carriers for over 20 years. He provides carriers with an in-depth knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and extensive experience assisting carriers with day to day safety management, compliance reviews and safety audits. He holds a Master Certificate in Motor Carrier Safety Management from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Transportation Safety Institute. He is also a Certified Commercial Vehicle Inspector, Certified Professional Collector and a Certified Breath Alcohol Testing Technician.
Jason has twin daughters and a son. Jason is an instrument rated private pilot who enjoys time with the family, reading, hunting and offshore fishing.
Andy McKelvy
Andy McKelvy joined Transafe in January 2011 as a Contract Manager. He works with new clients performing initial setups, as well as management of our existing client base. Andy is a Certified Professional Collector for controlled substance related testing along with also being a qualified Hair Specimen collector. He is also trained and certified as a Breath Alcohol Testing Technician. Andy successfully completed the U.S. DOT Motor Carrier Safety Compliance Course. Andy has written many Corrective Action Plans and Rating Upgrade Requests and has developed a good working relationship with State and Federal Auditors. He works with NCMS, Veriforce, and TPS for several clients that require PHMSA Drug and Alcohol monitoring. Andy is married to Candace McKelvy, who is also employed with Transafe. He is currently restoring a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. Other hobbies include gardening, fishing, and home projects.
Candace McKelvy
Candace McKelvy joined Transafe in June 2012 as an Administrative Assistant. Her current position is Office Manager as well as support for Sales, Contract Manager, and Internal Auditors. Candace is a Certified Professional Collector Trainer along with also being a certified collector. She is trained and qualified for both Breath Alcohol Testing and Collector Training as well as Hair Specimen collection and Collector Training. She is married to Andy McKelvy who also works with Transafe. They have 2 children. She is very involved with her church as nursery team leader, as well as a small group leader. Her hobbies include any outdoor activities with her family such as kayaking, fishing, gardening, biking, nature walks etc.
Madison Ford
Madison Ford joined Transafe in May 2013 as Administrative Assistant. She currently holds the position of Internal Client and Contract Manager Support. Madison is a certified collector for Controlled Substance, Hair Specimen, and Breath Alcohol Testing along with being qualified to complete training in those areas. In her spare time, Madison enjoys reading, outdoor activities, spending quality time with family and friends, and experimenting with new recipes.
Joel Garrett
Joel Garrett started with the Transafe team in March of 2014 and came back to work in April 2018 after a short “sabbatical” in 2017. Joel is the Sales Manager for all new accounts, overseeing and managing client’s compliance needs with DOT regulations. He is a Certified Professional Collector for controlled substance related testing along with being qualified and certified in Hair Specimen Collections and Breath Alcohol Testing. He has been married to Lori Garrett for 22 years and they have 3 children, Brandon, William, and Timothy. He is an active member at Berean Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Galilean leader. In his spare time Joel is dedicated to spending time with his family doing a host of activities from hunting and fishing, to playing ball, and even the occasional shopping trip.
Alicia Thompson
Alicia Thompson joined Transafe in March 2017 as Administrative Assistant and currently holds the position of our In-House Account Manager . Alicia is a Certified Professional Collector for controlled substance related testing along with being qualified and certified in Hair Specimen Collections and Breath Alcohol Testing. Alicia is a native of Mississippi and currently resides in Jones County with her family. Alicia is also a professional photographer and has owned her own photography business since 2013. In her free time, she likes to browse flea markets or relax and go boating at the family camp on the coast.
April Holloway
April Holloway joined Transafe in July 2022 as an Administrative Assistant and currently holds the position of Internal Auditor. April is trained for controlled substance related testing along with being qualified and certified in Hair Specimen Collections and Breath Alcohol Testing.
April is a native of Mississippi and currently resides in Jones County with her family. April is married to her husband Wil, and they have 2 children together. They are involved with their church, as well as Glade Community activities as well as NEJ Archery and booster club. April loves cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
Crystal White
Crystal White joined Transafe in February 2018 as Administrative Assistant. She currently holds the position of Internal Client and Contract Manager Support. Crystal is a Certified Professional Collector for controlled substance related testing along with being qualified and certified in Hair Specimen Collections and Breath Alcohol Testing. Crystal is the mother of two and loves spending time with family and friends. She attends Life Church in Laurel where she is active in children ministries, as well as many other church activities. She has a passion for cooking/baking and enjoys RVing and being outdoors.
Jennifer Colvin
Jennifer Colvin joined Transafe in January 2023 as Administrative Assistant. Jennifer assists with the position of our In-House Accounts as well as support for our Sales, Contract Manager, and Internal Auditors.
Jennifer’s hometown is Brook, Indiana but has recently moved to Laurel, MS with her husband, David to get away from that cold weather! Jennifer is a mother of 3 children, and a Nana of 3 grandchildren with one more on the way! Jennifer enjoys spending quality time with her family and adores her grandchildren. She also enjoys gardening, golf, hiking, swimming, and fishing. Jennifer has a healthy love for classic cars and has recently restored a VW Thing.
Jessica Harper
Jessica Harper joined Transafe in October 2022 as Administrative Assistant. Jessica is trained for controlled substance related testing along with being qualified and certified in Hair Specimen Collections and Breath Alcohol Testing.
Jessica was born and raised in Jones County MS and has lived here all her life. Jessica is married to her husband, Bryan Harper, and is the mother of 3 as well as a grandmother to one very outgoing precious grandson. Jessica enjoys spending time with her parents and her family. She is involved in basketball with her children and enjoys the occasional trip to the mountains in the off season.
Erica McCreary
Erica McCreary joined Transafe in April 2024 as Administrative Assistant. Erica is trained for controlled substance related testing along with being qualified and certified in Hair Specimen Collections and Breath Alcohol Testing.
Erica was born and raised in Jones County, MS. She is married to her wonderful wife Makayla and has a beautiful son Dallas who is 3 years old and very active! Erica and her family love spending time together doing things such as, going to the beach, fishing, taking Dallas on adventures, and spending time with family.
Bethany Logan
Bethany Logan joined Transafe in November 2023 as Administrative Assistant. She currently holds the position of Previous Employment Verification. Bethany is trained for controlled substance related testing along with being qualified and certified in Hair Specimen Collections and Breath Alcohol Testing.
Bethany was born and raised in Jones County, MS. She is married to her wonderful husband Daquinton. She has a precious little 2 year old baby boy. She and her husband enjoy fitness and competitions. Her hobbies include hiking, canoeing, going to the beach and spending time as a family.
Joseph Haralson
Joseph Haralson joined Transafe in August 2024 as a Compliance Officer. He has over 13 years of dedicated service in Mississippi, beginning his career with the Mississippi Department of Transportation Law Enforcement Division, where he advanced through the rank of Sergeant First Class, before transferring to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety where he served in the Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division and achieved the rank of Corporal.
Joseph has extensive experience in commercial vehicle enforcement, including roadside inspections, crash investigations, weights and standards, cargo securement, and safety audits. He has earned numerous certifications from the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) in North American Part A & B, General Hazardous Materials, Cargo Tank, Other Bulk Packaging, Post Crash Inspection, and New Entrant Safety Audit. These credentials reflect his comprehensive knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance.
Outside of his professional life, Joseph enjoys fishing, camping, and spending quality time with family.
